Salt Lake-based Paradigm Medical Industries Inc. said Wednesday it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval to market a new generation of ultrasound devices.

The products, used for eye measurements and detecting eye abnormalities, were developed through a collaboration with Meda Co. Ltd., a Chinese developer and manufacturer of ultrasound devices.
